Sutton Kersh has done it again!

Sutton Kersh sold 517 lots at its seven auctions in 2014, over 22% more than its three nearest rivals combined, according to figures from the Ei Group.

 

Total revenue generated by the firm during the 12 month period was over £39.7M.

 

Auction Manageress, Cathy Holt says: ‘This has been another highly successful year in which we have consistently attracted large attendances and delivered strong results on behalf of our customers. It is the ninth consecutive time we have outperformed the competition and finished the year as Merseyside’s leading auction firm.’

 

At its final sale of the year Sutton Kersh sold 80% of the lots offered and generated proceeds of over £6,400,000.

 

Highlights included a fire damaged vacant residential property in the Fairfield area of Liverpool which sold for £130,500, a whopping £90,500 above the advertised guide of just £40,000 plus. The property on Conwy Drive comprises a purpose built block arranged as eight studio apartments, requiring a programme of refurbishment.

 

Meanwhile, the very first lot of the day, a commercial investment in the business district of Liverpool also proved popular. Customs House on Union Street which is currently fully let at £22,120 per annum sold for £261,000. The guide was £175,000 plus.

 

A vacant development opportunity in walking distance of Liverpool city centre with planning permission to convert to provide six studio apartments achieved £150,500, off a guide of £120,000 plus.

 

Other development opportunities included a parcel of land in Walton with planning for 14 townhouses and apartments. It sold for £180,000, off a guide of £165,000 plus.

 

Elsewhere, a former Health Clinic and offices in Wigan sold for £122,000 off a guide of £100,000 plus.

 

Incefield House on Ince Green Lane is arranged over four floors and benefits from full planning consent to convert the building to provide 10 self-contained flats.

 

A residential investment on Battenberg Street in Liverpool producing annual rent of £2340.00 per annum was knocked down for £52,500. The guide was £20,000 to £25,000.

 

Sutton Kersh is now inviting instructions for its first auction of 2015 which takes place on Thursday 12 February. The catalogue closes on Friday 16 January.
