Liverpool's popularity fuels record breaking results

Liverpool's increasing popularity has helped Sutton Kersh Lettings deliver record breaking results.

In August the firm completed 61 lets, while total lettings for the last quarter were 155.

Dianne Dunbar MARLA BA Hons, a senior lettings negotiator at the city centre branch says demand from students and professionals for rental accommodation in the city was a major factor behind their contribution to the overall performance.

‘Thanks to the popularity of our universities, large numbers of students are coming into the city, including those on foreign exchange. We are also seeing an influx of professional people such as doctors and IT specialists.

‘Similarly, increased tourism is leading to growth in the hotel sector which in turn is creating employment opportunities, with many of those people looking to rent.’

With demand being so high, available properties are being snapped up in double quick time.

‘We are currently experiencing a very quick turnover of stock,’ says Dianne. ‘For example two properties at The Reach & Cable Yard attracted multiple applicants and were let in just one day. It is certainly a great time to be a landlord in Liverpool.’

The residential sales picture in the city centre office of Sutton Kersh is equally buoyant, with 85 sales recorded in the last quarter.
