Local Merseyside auction house bucks the trend in their most recent Spring property auction

Once again, Sutton Kersh has bucked national trends by reaching auction sales of over 80% in their most recent Spring auction - over 7% higher than the national average.

With a typical auction selling between 80-90% of an average of 100 lots per auction, it’s no wonder that the auction house is considered as one of the best in the region, regularly outranking the competition in their statistics.

While national trends are showing a slight decline in lots offered and sold, -6.4% and -8.8% respectively, Sutton Kersh have shown resilience in the current political climate by offering another healthy selection of lots to regulars and new attendees alike.

Showcasing a wide array of lots, from large commercial properties to intimate residential development options, there were more than half of offered lots reaching over 30% of their asking price – proving to developers attending why they’re one of the best in the region.

One lot in particular that received a large amount of interest was lot 50, Mostyn Hall. Guided at £175,000, this modern purpose-built 8-bedroom investment opportunity was sold for £217,000 – 24% above its asking price.

"It's always good to see the selection of properties from across the region being offered at the auctions, and today was no exception” Said Associate Director, Cathy Holt.

"From large purpose-built properties to mix-use investment opportunities, this auction had it all!"

"I'm happy to say that, again, we’ve sold over 80% of our advertised properties – a figure that consistently remains above average when compared to national statistics."

Katie Donohue, Senior Valuer and Business Development Manager at Sutton Kersh, added: "We really had our work cut out for this auction, with people being reluctant to buy and sell properties with Brexit looming – but, once again, we’ve smashed it."

"Seeing the auction room full of serious bidders who want to invest in the region’s property is always a pleasure."
